Joyce Fisher Endowment Fund Trust

The Joyce Fisher Endowment Fund Trust facilitates both research and service development and innovation initiatives that benefit disabled people, their families, service funders and Laura Fergusson Trust.

The fund is managed by seven trustees who together have a wide range of skills and experience. These include the Chairman of the Board of Laura Fergusson Trust Auckland, three additional Laura Fergusson Trust Auckland Board members and three independent Trustees, who provide a wealth of commercial and fund-management experience. You can read more about our trustees here.

Since inception, the fund has consistently outperformed the NZX 50. It is a diversified portfolio of equities, fixed-interest securities and an appropriate cash component.

Fuelled by a desire to make a difference the fund supports LFTI to continue to build on a 50 year history of innovation, collaboration and service excellence.

A Message From Our Founders

From the late Lady Joyce Fisher, the foundation donor of the Joyce Fisher Endowment Fund (now called the Joyce Fisher Research Fund) who sadly passed away on 27 July 2009:

“It was a privilege to be asked by the Laura Fergusson Trust to give my name to the establishment of the Joyce Fisher Endowment Fund.

The purpose of the fund is to provide sustainable income to secure the long-term future of the services which Laura Fergusson Trust provides for young people and adults with physical difficulties. I was delighted to provide a major gift which enabled the establishment of the endowment fund.

Together, with your support, we will be able to secure the future of the Trust for the benefit of its many clients.

Please join with me and make a gift to the Laura Fergusson Trust. Your generosity will enhance the lives of many who are faced with the daily struggle to improve their level of independence. They do so with the services and support provided by the Trust.”

From the late Lady Mary Caughey, our founding patron who sadly passed away on 19 December 2011:

“Please join with me and make a bequest to the Laura Fergusson Trust. Long after you and I have gone, our support will continue to ensure the long-term future of the Trust, for the benefit of many thousands of New Zealanders with severe physical disabilities.

As a founding member of the Trust, I have dedicated my life to supporting the Trust in its development of services and facilities. It is vital that the Trust continues its work in the 21st century.

By making a planned gift to support the Laura Fergusson Trust in your will, you can enhance the lives of many thousands of New Zealanders in the disabled community.”
