Administration Assistant

Laura Fergusson Rehabilitation (LFR) specialises in the care and rehabilitation of clients who have experienced a neurological or physical injury or are experiencing the symptoms of a deteriorating neurological disease. Our aim is to promote as much function and independence as possible, while at the same time facilitating adjustment to disability, promoting self-determination and valuing quality of life.

Within our Auckland Head Office, many departments (including marketing, quality, finance and administration) collectively run the day to day organisational activities and facility needs.

Administration Assistants provide office support to selected departments, between Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm. Volunteers assist with tasks such as, newsletter mail-outs, meeting room set-up, database updating and maintenance, reception parcel runs, archiving, and general administration tasks such as, laminating and filing.

Our clients range from 16 to 64 years old, with the majority being over 40.

  • Due to the potential interaction with clients and customers, volunteers need a polite and professional manner
  • For this role, we welcome volunteers from 17 years upwards
  • A police check is required
  • To maintain continuity, we seek a three-month commitment from volunteers
